Yard Tour June 2016

I love our yard - its mature trees, its shade and sun and part sun areas, and I love imagining what it will look like once we really put our mark onto it.   Admittedly - we've done a lot already - we added the fence, the stepping stone path, the brick walkways, the stone covered stairway, the new azalea border and the front corner garden.   But I have so many more ideas in mind!  Just need the time, energy and funds to make those ideas a reality.

I wanted to find a way to share what our yard looks like, all the different sections of it, and I couldn't figure out how to do that with just photos.  So I've been playing around with Photoshop this morning, and created this overview of our property, just for fun.   It kind of gives a birds-eye view of our yard and the different sections and pieces.

I thought about showing the old photos, from last summer before we did any work, but honestly, the old photos are not the best quality, and there's not very many of them, and they don't really give a true sense of the yard.   So, even though these photos give away some of the surprise of showing a before and after of the same area, I'm going to go ahead and use current photos.   It's a good starting point for the rest of the blog into the future, right?

Anyway, here's a walk around our yard as of mid June 2016.  Hope you enjoy!
