Our House - Empty Rooms Part IV

Welcome back!    I've been sharing photos of our empty house on the day we moved in back in August 2015.  So far, I've shard the first floor (here), the second floor (here) and the third floor (here).

In this fourth and final post in the series, I do have some basement shots to share, but before we do that, i realized I forgot to share the photos of the first floor laundry and half bath.  So on our way to the basement, let's stop by this room first.   Behind the pretty stained glass door...

Is this laundry / half-bath room.

It has laundry facilities and shelves on the left...

... and toilet and sink on the right behind the door.

I can't tell you how many guests have been confused when they look for the powder room and find the washing machine first thing!

OK, so let's go down for a quick peek in the basement.

First, the layout:

Here's a peek in the mechanical area... low ceilings and pipes, watch your head!

A shower bathroom down here - who knew?    (not my favorite bathroom ever - I have not yet used it... too creepy for me)

Shower stall on the other side of the wall beside the toilet.

A generous sized storage room (which I've filled up with holiday decor!)

And the door behind the stairs that leads to the built in two-car garage in the basement.  Crazy!  Who had a two-car garage built in to their house in 1925????

Bay one of the basement garage ... the door to the basement is the big grey blob on the right of this picture.

A connection from bay one to bay two...

And bay two of the basement garage.   We took the old kitchen cabinet out of this bay, and that made enough room to fit our car in here, even with the oil tank.

Well, that concludes my tour of our empty house.

Tour our Third Floor

Thanks so much for stopping by.   I hope you've enjoyed browsing around the house in its empty state.  In future posts I'll be of course sharing how things are coming along decorating and furnishing and such.   I hope you'll return to read more about our home here in Harmony Hills!

I've been working on getting the house furnished and decorated, but with all the yard work it's been slow going.  But here's what's happening in the Laundry Room - a strange place to start, maybe, but hey, what the heck?  Come check it out!

Curious about the outside of our new house?  Check out this Yard Tour from June 2016. This 1/2 acre has plenty of projects and things to keep us busy every summer for a long time!!!

I'd love it if you'd follow me on Facebook and Pinterest.   Thanks!!!
