Harmony Hills meets Miss Mustard Seed

You're familiar with Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint, right?   And you follow the awesome Miss Mustard Seed blog, right?  And you know about her crazy talent for furniture makeovers?   And her keen eye for farmhouse style?  And her beautiful murals and hand-painted landscapes on furniture?

You may recall that she posted about a white hutch, which formerly was wearing an unfortunate shade of brown.

I'm happy to say that as of this afternoon, that white hutch is now officially at home here in Harmony Hills!

It's currently living in the second floor sunroom, where it might just inspire a sunny, light-filled craft room workspace decorated in the farmhouse style.    Or it might move into a second-floor guest bedroom, and begin a transformation of that room into a farmhouse style bedroom.

Whichever room it ends up in, it will be the basis for some fun new decorating in our home.  I've never gone "farmhouse", but I'm thinking that this piece will be the one to tip me over the edge into that style, at least here and there.

It was a lot of fun meeting Marian, aka Miss Mustard Seed, and seeing her workshop and studio.   It's only a 90 minute drive from my home in Baltimore up to her studio just north of Gettysburg, PA.  So maybe I'll find my way up there for one of her painting workshops or something?  Who knows?

Thanks, Marian, for serving as a great inspiration for all of us!
