We're gonna have a lot of fun here, I think, caring for this old home and the property around it. Many lives have already been lived here over the years, and now my husband and I are the next in line to keep this lovely old home going for the generations to follow.
The blog is intended as an outlet for sharing our progress as we make improvements, changes, and updates to the property. Our family and friends are spread across the country, and we don't get to visit each other as often as we'd like. So this is one way to keep in touch. I hope to make new friends, too, through this blog, by sharing ideas and connecting to other bloggers in the home and garden world.
One note of warning - it's not going to be "picture perfect" around here. So many blogs show only the beautiful finished products, the "no weed" version of their gardens, the perfectly photographed views of their artfully arranged homes. No, not here. Here we're going to show it like it is, and it's not always going to be magazine-worthy. It's going to be real, and sometimes pretty but sometimes messy. I hope you'll feel comfortable visiting here, and I hope you'll share your ideas on solving our challenges with us. I hope you'll feel welcome and ready to relax amongst friends.
